Washington State Parks Mandatory Boating Safety Education
The Washington state mandatory boating safety education law goes into effect on January 1, 2008. The law requires boaters ages 12 years and older to pass a boating safety course or an equivalency exam before operating a motor boat of 15 horsepower or greater.
